The Darkness

Shortly after I finished writing, the internet returned. Our isolation was short-lived, and of course, for its very brevity, cherished.

Candle reflections this morning.

  1. When our next-door grandson was little, his parents would bring him to our house when there were heavy storms or tornado warnings because they didn’t have a basement. They didn’t want him to be afraid of all storms, so we called those shelter-in-place times Storm Parties. We lit the candles and hurricane lamps and had snacks and played games. We had toys that he only played with during Storm Parties. Happy memories.
